Rugby: The U14 Boys team were away to Sligo Grammar and the Junior Boys Team played Tullamore RFC in the evening. Unfortunately it was a bad day at the offic efor the Wilson's teams who were both well beaten.

Wednesday 20th December.

Soccer: The U15 Minor Girls are playing a Cup semi final today.

Hockey: The 1st & 2nd Year Boys team played Celbridge Community School in a league match today winning 6-0. It was Celbridge's first ever game and the slightly more experienced Wilson's players started the game on the front foot. Despite countless opportunities in front of goal some poor finishing and excellent goal keeping kept the scorenil all for the first half.

The second half started in the same fashion as the first and Wilson's eventually got their opening goal through Scott. A second from Eoin soon followed which put Wilson's in control of the game. Further goals from Divine, Eoghan and one more each from Scott and Eoin gave Wilson's their biggest win in the year so far. Well done to everyone on an excellent all round team performance.

Rugby: The Junior Girls team  took part in a blitz in Mullingar Rugby Club on Wednesday 20th December. The girls put in great performances in the two matches they played against Birr and St Finian's College.

In the first match, the WHS girls came up against a very strong Birr team and battled bravely right until the end of the game, with Birr winning by one try.

In the match against St Finian’s, WHS put in a disciplined performance and won the match by one try.

Leah and Evelyn were stand out performers on the day. Leah's speed caused Birr and St Finian’s great difficulty and she finished as top try scorer. Evelyn's tackling was exceptional, and in one passage of play she made three try saving tackles in a row. Emma also put in a solid performance at scrum half while Carolyn was very effective carrying the ball.

Well done to all the girls on their fantastic attitude and effort so far this year.
