Thank you to everyone who took part in our Golf Classic.

Sports & Extra Curricular Events 9th - 15th May 2022

Being the summer term, cricket matches are in full swing. We currently have three cricket teams - Form 1 Girls, Form 1 Boys and Junior Girls.

On Thursday 12th the Junior Girls were in action against The High School.

Wilson's Hospital School's Cricket continues to bat above! The team chose to bowl first and within the first three overs nine wickets were collected by ruthlessly fast bowling from Tori, Isabella (the captain) and Lucy. The pace continued with strong overs from Victoria, Ella, Sophie and Sarah. Their pace, focus in fielding and team spirit blew the opposition away - who only managed 27 runs. Our batting was short, sharp and focused. With Ella Mae and Annalise opening in well with 12 runs as a batting pair. Tori and Lucy scored boundaries, but a special mention needs to go to Meabh who held on through many fast bowls. Wilson's manged to gain 62 runs in 15 overs and the game was well and truly won!

The Junior Boys Rugby Team played the Junior 1B League final today against Good Council, New Ross. The game was in Donnybrook. Unfortunately they fell short against a very good opposition. Callum and Yaw got the tries while Killian converted both scores. Good Council scored all of their points in the first half to just shade a gallant effort from the young men from Westmeath. We wish Jake a speedy recovery - he injured hs wrist in the game. The final score was 14-17. Thank you to Isabel for taking the photos and there are lots more on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
