The annual Carol Service took place in the Chapel at Wilson's on Sunday 17th December. It was lovely that so many visitors joined the Christmas Celebrations. The Chapel was beautifully decorated. Pupils and members of staff read some of the traditional Christmas readings outlining events around the time time of the birth of Christ.
The music was led by Ms Heslin on the organ and the Chapel Choir. They were joined by some other musicians including Ms Barry and Mr Luthers, Ted and Lydia. The service opened with a beautiful unaccompanied solo from Aoife. The Chapel Choir, the Gospel Choir and a group of teachers showed a variety of types of praise singing. The whole congregation joined in with the traditional hymns. It was great to hear the male voices singing out in "We Three Kings of Orient are"!
The Senior Prefects helped everyone to light their candles before reflecting on the Christmas Gospel Reading. It was a very special part of the service.
Thank you to everyone who took part and special thanks to the school Chaplain Ms Rothwell for organising such a meaningful Christmas service.
